Environmental Paint Disposal

If you have paint to dispose of after your project is complete, it is best to check with your local community organizations regarding paint disposal. Even though latex paint is safe for the environment and does not result in harmful health risks, proper disposal is still required for both latex and oil based paint products. Listed below are the paint disposal guidelines for the counties McCormick Paints serves. This list is just a guideline so for specific questions, please call the county directly. To find out more about general paint disposal information contact the National Paint and Coatings Association.
