August 11, 2014 – Gaithersburg, MD – If you’re heading to the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair this week, you’ll likely see some McCormick Paints products in use. For the tenth year in a row, McCormick paints has donated 50 gallons of paint along with the rental of its Titan Speeflo 4900 Gas sprayer to the Boy Scouts Troop #447 of Rockville, Maryland. This troop has a 62 year tradition of painting the parking lot lines at the Montgomery County Fair, now held in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Tim Christiano, a scout’s father, has been part of this tradition for the past 5 years. Over time, the troop has become more efficient with their line painting process. “This year, we simply placed the Titan sprayer on the back of a pickup truck, driving the sprayer back and forth to paint the lines.” The scouts of Troop #447 manage the parking concessions at the Fair and in turn, receive a donation from the Fair that funds the troop throughout the year.
This year’s Montgomery County Agricultural Fair takes place August 8 – 16, 2014 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
